Sure, but the point being, it's not for the non-technical user. I'm not saying it's not possible to encrypt email, I'm just saying it's not practical and gaining any mass adoption is unlikely.

The solution in my mind is, use email as something that you just assume everyone can read. If you want to make sure you have end to end encryption, use one of the platforms that was designed for security, like Threema or Signal.
