Galeon should work anywhere with gnome libraries installed, but of course would work best under gnome.

The point you're missing is that you can't disagree with the fact that the tech community as a whole has its head up its ass, and is not that significant in the world as you would hope/think. No one cares.
But then you'll say "That's bullshit, my head isn't up my ass, I do !" -- And that just simply proves the selfish part. Either way, I think Katz has a winner here.
Grow some balls -- attempt to break it, take the risk, and have fun with it. Might find something you like. Just keep a backup.
Take A Break -- Go read a book, watch TV, pornsurf, drink beer (my fave), play cards with friends, or do whatever you like doing best. Don't let a deadline stop your life.
Make programs that spit out junk all the time, I like verbose errors and stuff to keep me going. This is one reason why I love perl scripting -- immediate results!
Make sure you're in a comfortable programming environment. If you're using pico or something, then you might be getting pissed off and that's what's really setting you back
eat breakfast, wear sunscreen, and clean your pipes regularly:)
Mozilla does suck. Bigtime. But with Galeon, you cut the bullshit and get a good, fast browser. The developers are working on a bunch of things that should make me happy.
Right now, cookies aren't working, and I can't do a right-click to open a link in a new window. After that's done, galeon will be my solution.
Mozilla does have a great engine. It's a shame to see them be idiots with it.
So I should pay people and reward them for being slaves to the system? Nahh.. I like your thinking of supporting them, but I still don't support their ways. I'm halfway there with you though.
When JPG2000 was announced here on slashdot, there was a major discussion about whether or not wavelet compression is the best for images. Is there any difference in this case scenario involving 3d movies?
I've decided that I will begin buying CD's again when they are five dollars. Until then, I'm going to continue to steal music like I have been for the past 2 years.
I at least admit that I'm a thief. Do I justify it? Yeah.
Now well guess what -- you just spreaded your ignorant views to several other people. If a few people are dumb enough to listen to you, then you DID make a difference; but only for the worse.
So not only are you a fucking ignorant waste of space, you're also a hypocrite.
A stable, graphical web-browser that loads up quickly in linux. Does not have to be fully-featured, but must be able to compete with MSIE 5.5 and avoid crashing. Also must run in a gnome environment.
Recent failures: Mozilla (and its low-level counterparts) and Netscape. Open to any suggestions, open source preferred; must be free.
... Seriously, I am at work, my laptop in linux, and this workstation in Windows. MSIE blows everything else away, say what you will about MS. I need a good browser.
On the main page, http://slashdot.org , I see summaries below each headline. You know, written by Hemos or whoever, and it contains a link or a submission from a slashdotter. What I'm saying is that I didn't know what this article was about at all from the summary. I had to click the link and "Read More" to figure it out. The summary should give me a bit more info. This has happened a few times recently.
Some [half-unknown guy] from [new and unknown group/distro] has just done [some oddly-named feat].
I love Slashdot and all, but recently I've been noticing that the summaries on the main page are horrible. I had NO clue what was going on here. Then after trying it, I'm glad that I did find that site, its nice.
But please, leave more suggestive descriptions of the articles at hand.
Any new word on NVidia stuff? I know that they have new drivers out this month, how's it going with XF4.0.1? I'm about to give it ONE more try before I trade my Geforce for a Voodoo 3500.

1. Open-source the driver, minus the cool new tech feature.
2. Add a binary file that someone can add-on if they want the new feature.
