Agreed -- and I would add as someone who does some hiring, that I would'nt hire someone with a CS degree for a Help Desk position, let alone a Jr. Sys Admin. Can't tell you how many CS majors I've interviewed who can't explain the difference pop/imap or can't install and configure an apache web server even from an rpm. I'm in fact surprised at how many CS majors apply for these jobs, it makes me wonder what the market is like for recent grads.
