The thrust of our Roadmap was to get people to see "openness" across an entire ICT ecosystem. Obviously, open standards are the critical threads that hold a heterogeneous ecosystem together. But the train has other cars including software, communities of practice, SOA, etc. To reap the full benefits of open technologies, people will be helped if they architect openness using a more sytem-wide approach.

Reading stats on open source makes me wonder whether there is some equivalent to Moore's Law that applies to expansion of the open source code base.
