Remember the big deal that was made by the Senate back in the early 90's about Beavis & Butthead? There was an episode where the dynamic duo blew up a mobile home while playing with the stove. Some dumb kid repeated what he saw on TV, and this was immediately followed by a huge public outcry of "This has to be banned FOR THE CHILDREN'S SAKE!" MTV caved and removed some of the best episodes.
The government won't do anything to address the root of childhood violence. They merely pay lip-service so they can try to convince their constituents that they are actually doing something other than just blowing hot air.
Any kid that imitates something hazardous that they've seen on TV or in a game already has some serious issues.
