As a conspirasist the law suit appears to be a ploy by some of the intellectual minds at google, and there are a few visionaries there, and a group of quite possibly the most legitiment group of intellectual property owners - the authors guild.
If this suit sees the inside of a court room as I predict it will, the result will be instantly trendsetting, and provide a means to catalyze the deconstruction and reconstruction of copywrite and intellectual property laws.
