...but, I've wanted to know for years why the Civilizations games' premise is based on the idea that certain civilizations have inherent characteristics, when in the game all civilizations start out with a blank slate on a randomly generated world. It's easy to argue that the commercialistic "nature" of England's civilization is only due to geography and has nothing to do with the English themselves. I don't know; maybe it doesn't matter, but it just doesn't make any sense either.
p.s. sorry if this has already been asked. I did a quick search but didn't find anything, though.
