  2. Thank God for innovation! on Mouse Fun from Microsoft · · Score: 2

This is probably the greatest idea ever in the field of computational interface technology (CIT)! Thank the Lord that the government haven't been able to hinder MS in their God given right to innovate. How on earth have we been able to get along without a mouse that is touch sensitive? Well, I for one don't know!!! What is next? A keyboard that activates once you touches it? Who else but MS can come up with these mind boggling inventions? Certainly not me, that's for sure!!!

  3. Way too little, way too late... on Sun to release Solaris source code · · Score: 1

There's no way that Sun can compete with the Linux phenomena. At least not if they use their own restrictive license. It would be far better if they released the source under the GPL. Or if they joined in and started to develop for Linux instead of working against it.

  4. So what's new? We'll adapt or be darwinised. on The Coming Cyberclysm - Part One · · Score: 1

People have been complaining for ages that society is getting to hectic and that the rate of new inovations are too rapid. It's nothing new. And you know what? So far we've managed to keep our society working.

Those that cannot keep up with the pace are not the ones that are interesting. They are about to retire anyway. The younger generation are used to the fast paced lifestyle that is needed. Guess what? This is a good thing - out with the old and in with the new!

He has also written; I've seen lots of naked preteen boys, and it makes me feel hot all over.

  5. Several reasons on Trends in an Open Source Project · · Score: 1

As someone wrote earlier on; Fetchmail is quite complete, hence there really isn't that big a need to add patches.

Also, how many actually use Fetchmail? I think more and more people are online permanently and therefore don't use programs suchs as Fetchmail.

When it comes to other, more complicated, projects, such as for example the Linux kernel, there is a very steep learning curve involved before you're able to begin doing actual work. It's not as if you can just jump in and begin coding...

W S B - I might be dead, but my opinions are just as valid as when I used to live!
