I think you have it backwards. It is the American Red Cross that is ok the international red cross is who you should watch out for, but that is just what i remember hearing on Bill O.

  2. So was the site legit? on Consultant Convicted For Non-Invasive Site Access · · Score: 0

What I want to know is, after all of that checking, was the site legit?!? Was he right? I think he deserves a little credit if it wasn't. :) Also, let's see the email that made him think he was scammed. In reality, either way this guy isn't too smart. I think after careful consideration, I would have to fire him also.

    Think about it.

He couldn't tell that he was being phished. If he even suspected it, as a guy that works in security, you think that he would check it out FIRST before sending his money in. But alas, fe probably did it, thought oops shouldnt have done that, tried to break into the database to erase his info, and failed. There is another reason I might fire the guy. He wasn't even successful at breaking in. Third reason... he wasn't careful enough to cover his tracks. Teenage script-kiddies could probably have done it and got away with it.

Oh well, he will probably write a book entitled "How The Phishermen Sent Me To Jail" and get rich. RIGHT ON MAN.

That would have stopped all that killing. We should have met Saddam at the debate table. THE MAN THAT KILLED INFANTS IN FRONT OF THEIR PARENTS BY BEATING THEIR HEADS AGAINST A WALL. That's the man we should have given a fourth, fifth and sixth chance to, because you can reason with that type of person. No sir adults deal with situation BY STOPPING IT, and punishing the people responsible. Weaklings "talk it out first" because they are scared. Stop being afraid glesga. We'll protect you.

Yea but unfortunatly they must have missed the fact that "George" knew that "Herb" was a a viscious killer that had killed many people. He knew that letting him get slide on just his word was stupid, BECAUSE GEORGE IS NOT A PUSSY LIKE MOST OF THE MEMBERS OF THIS STUPID CLUB. He is the guy in the club that doesn't really want to be in it, but stays in because he knows the damn club would fall apart without him, and he cares about those little guys. They might not agree on everything, but damnit, if he is needed he steps up and does what needs to be done. Some of the real pussies in the club wonder why big bad george hasn't had his dues card taken away yet. The smart ones know that it's not him that needs us, it's us that needs him.

The internet is now a key part of the infrastructure of many countries and no matter if you like it or not, nations don't like it when a critical part of their infrastructure is controlled by a foreign government.
And??? These countries knew that it was controlled by the US before they started integrating it into their infrastructure and they did it anyway. Too bad for them. They should have worked that stuff out before hand, and developed their own system to use if they didnt want to deal with the U.S. I think you will also find that MOST of the benefits of of belonging to the UN are not for us, but for other countries. The U.N. is a corrupt organization.
That only the US should be able to use the inernet? Well, have fun then, cause a global network is sure going to be useful when it's not global. And what about other inventions?
No only the us should be able to control the internet. People use it at OUR discretion. The internet was originally designed to be a NATIONAL network, to facilitate communications in the event of an attack from another country. I think right there that states that it obviously wasn't designed with the intent to give control to other countries. And if you say that the WWW was developed in another country, again, it was developed to use on top of OUR technology. Do they have some server that controls the WWW? NO. Argument is moot then, they CAN'T take the WWW from anyone because they don't control it. DNS is not exclusive to the WWW. So what will they take away, the http protocol? html? FINE, THEY CAN KEEP IT. We will quietly go back to gopher. :) GOOD DAY TO YOU, SIR!

Rubbish. What freedoms have been taken from us? You people have this awful picture that this country is "big and bad". Grow up a little and realize that it is the governments job to protect us. Just because some things (and i cant think of one yet!) are taken away from us, doesnt mean we will someday turn into a dictatorship. What we should worry about is being turned into a socialist or communist country by having health care, disasters, food and everything else paid for with our taxes. Stop relying on the government for everything. Damn, how did I get on this subject again? John Gjonola
