Its unfortunate that Non-Linux Users associate Linux as A complete system (its not). If you mean KERNEL yes your right...(who want to do that anyways?). but Distro wise? yes THEY CAN be cracked, anything can be cracked. UNIX wise, it depends on whats flawed on a "STOCK" install. I repeat... "STOCK" install. As well as wrong permissions on things that talk to things, that talk to things, that talk to things. LOL!:) and using what already exists on a system to help you do things (long live | !). flaws are the key.

its NOT hard compiled against the "libs" and "API's" of the OS its fuctioning on so it WILL NEVER be as wack like IE will always be.

they're just down right lazy....build a custom kernel for your system....period. A stock install is not for production use anyway....just like a stock Windows is. if you dont know what,how or why someone would use a custom kernel you have no damm business using it in you hardware. windows people know there software thats why they swear by it.... as we *NIX's do....but as a company that is DEPENDENT on an outside OS like LINUX...you must ONLY care about selling UNITS like the Music Industry trying to sell crap music.
