    Why some one wants to run native program in a web browser? Does quake look cooler in a web browser? I do not think so. Especially when today every browser are becoming so bloated, running program on an extra complicated layer is just wrong.

    X's network transparency is a joke.. You are torturing yourself if you run any non-trivial X apps over a DSL link. Even on LAN, the delay is so horrible that you will envy those guys using Windows Terminal Server.

    Please give a reference where this "temporarily" comes from.
