Guess what? H1B is the only reasonable route for educated people to immigrate legally to US (aside from marriage and family ties, and lottery.) Due to annual cap, that is mostly taken by large IT companies, other folks are out of luck.
I went to school for 10 years in US, got doctorate degree, and can't just open my own clinic and practice. I am not taking anybody else's job - I'll create jobs. But current immigration system does not allow that, unless you are rich right out of school and can invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in your business in order to get E2 visa. Even then, you cannot get residency and citizenship later, ever; only renew E2, if you are lucky.
So, H1B is the only reasonable option: get hired, work for several years, and then get residency through permanent employment. However, most private clinics do not want to spend time and money to start H1B paperwork in April and wait until October for the worker to start working.
Immigration system is ridiculous and that's why there are so many illegals. People just cannot get through the system even when they try to do it legally.
Are you kidding? I have a 4 year old laptop with 40GB hard drive. You know, it is kinda difficult to dedicate 15GB to an operating system only on a 40GB hard disk.
Google folks would have to be proficient in a lot of languages to make that happen. Otherwise, you'll be seeing something like: Romance Beta. Available ONLY for English-speakers:-)
Just typed ask.com and after I clicked on "Images" on the right side, the search bar disappeared and all I saw was a blinking cursor in the middle of nowhere. Same happened after I clicked "News"
Last winter I bought Siemens S66 and the cheapest $29.99 local plan from Cingular. I had to go to Europe for summer and wanted to use the phone there. The phone was advertised as business class tri-band GSM phone that would work worldwide. That's why I bought it since I thought I would use it while I am in Europe. When I got to Europe and tried to use SIM card from another carrier the phone would not take it and was asking for a unlock code. I e-mailed Cingular and asked for the code. They e-mailed me the unlock code - it didn't work. I e-mailed them again telling the code did not work. Cingular told me that the code would not work unless I upgrade to another (more expensive) plan. I didn't want to do that since the whole point was to use it with European SIM since their rates were much cheaper. The roaming feature worked though, but Cingular international rates are ridiculous!
So, I went to the guys who were "specialists" in unlocking phones from other countries. They checked the serial number on the phone (under the battery) and immediately told me that my phone (Siemens S66) could not be unlocked since it was made for U.S. market; the same European phone is Siemens S65, not S66.
My solution was to buy a cheap phone and use it with SIM card from European carrier since I did not have to sign any contracts. Also, it was cheaper than upgrading my Cingular plan in order to be able to use my Cingular phone with European SIM card.

First one, out of four:-)
Thanks kid, I know what I can do. That computer does what it supposed to do. I have another "more useful" machine with WinXP, in case you wondered.
I mentioned that because the exploit effects Win98. And since so many people adviced to use unofficial patch I thought the public should know that the patch is not compatible with Win98.
Thanks for the article! I didn't copy that one, but I've seen a similar one somewhere online. It is everywhere now. I actually learned some new sites from this article like: huy.be, zalup.com.pl, antikal.de:-)))
Nice try but here are some real ones:

I don't care for iPod nor for Z5 nor for any other portable player. What's the big deal anyway? Someone tell me.

One of the articles said that "other Windows versions may also be affected" So, how about those who have Win98 machines sitting around?

I know Linspire 5.0 detects Wi-Fi cards. Wonder how Suse 10.0 handles Wi-Fi?
