    OLED is certainly the way to go, but they need to pick up the production and make larger screens cheaper.

    This will be really good for lowering the power requirements of an LED TV even more.

    get the google+ minus extension for Chrome... then you can remove certain circles from your main stream, allowing you to more easily keep the noise away from the default view so you can "dip in" when you want.

    it isn't perpetual motion... it is energy recapture. You really think that all the light generated by the LCD backlight is
    1) transmitted through to your eye
    2) used at 100% efficiency

    Please share your evidence.... Evidence that cannot be shared with an opportunity to repeat the observation is NOT evidence.

    Every scientists has just as much faith as the religious person. You have faith in the _process_ of Science that it will lead you closer to the truth.

    Science has a 500+ year track record with the evidence of its ability to generate actual knowledge strewn all around modern society. Religion has nothing other than the believers.

    Only a spiritual idiot would try to read "Holy Scripture" in a literal fashion. Contradictions and Absurdities were _intentionally_ placed so one couldn't do this.

    Then perhaps you should tell the other billion Christians.

    No...the evidence of science it self is not proof that God exists because then you are positing a vacuous argument.

    "We are evidence that God exists" is a completely pointless statement when you are discussing ways to prove God exists.

    please, show me where in science we have a large group of scientists who are supporting a scientific theory that has been shown to be completely wrong.

    Your example is one of incomplete understanding, not completely wrong understanding. It is also orthogonal to the argument against the religious who are criticized because they hold onto a completely unsupported belief in the face of strong evidence to the contrary.

    being able to dynamically extend any language construct. the author of Javascript called it a functional programming language and it is easier to use in a functional manor rather than an imperative one.

    Absolutely! The deal for buying NBC should have been to get Comcast to either get out of the ISP business and maintain the network for independent ISPs to compete with a lease rate that covers cost to maintain the lines at the bandwidth the ISP uses, or hand the ownership of the lines over the communities.

    which is accounted for through the loss in revenue due to the economy. If we had never cut taxes or created MC-D or went to war, the surplus would have provided enough cash to get the government through this recession.

    Then as I thought about it...JS could be a better language to work in than VBA (I hate VBA...and JS, but much less than VBA).

    While I hate the muddled mess that is JS (functional programming with an imperative look and feel) it is much more workable than VBA and should provide some easy access to powerful data manipulation macros in Office with the right libraries available to the user.

    Medicare part D plus the Bush tax cuts plus the corporate welfare and the wars put us in this hole... remove it all and we are back near black (we would need some economic growth too)

    Bush was certainly in office... the budget was passed in October of 2008. you are citing an omnibus appropriations bill... not the 2009 fiscal year budget.

    Does the tea party debacle not teach you anything? The Democrats have been dealing with a conservative wing and a liberal wing since the 60's. All it took in 2009/2010 was to grab 3 conservative democrats (which was really easy) and the republicans could filibuster.

    It is kind of like how the tea party controls congress right now even though they are only about 1/4 of congress.

    you are remembering to remove the 1/3 of the stim bill that was tax cuts right? You're not allowed to say tax cuts are good any time but then add them to the price of the stimulus because it is convenient to your ideological message.

    When you take that into account... we spent 500 billion to try and stimulate a 14 trillion dollar economy... you really think that would work?
