  1. Education for Rural Children in India on Ask Slashdot: Where Should a Geek's Charitable Donations Go? · · Score: 1

Isha Vidhya - Definitely making a difference in Tamil Nadu (southern state in India) running 8 schools in rural areas with full scholarship for the children requiring it, primarily through donations. They're also now getting into adopting Govt. schools where the quality of education is very questionable - Government School adoption program

Disclaimer: I do some web support for this non-profit (I know the site is bad, we're on a plan to overhaul it). But I can personally vouch for the guys running it.

OSX has bash, and Vista still has the crappy ass DOS CLI. Game over. PowerShell (aka Monad) for Vista was released on Jan 30, 2007. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_PowerShell/

Agree with most except the opera weenie bit. I've been using Opera on and off of around 5 years, and it has never blocked a window that I opened myself. Even now when I use Firefox, if you visit some sites, like cqcounter, pop-ups that shouldn't appear do. Don't get me wrong, Mozilla is a very good browser, but wrt opera your problem has never affected me, ever.
