Don't underestimate how much punishment the average American is willing to take when it comes to something that they are addicted to. Just look at gasoline.
Even though it is a good idea to reduce costs whenever possible, but from what I have seen, even when using lye (which is basic, not acidic), it is about 70 cents cheaper than regular fuel.
Biodiesel = Used vegtable oil + lye + methanol + mixture motor, containers and filters.

Is this 24TB where 1TB = 1,000,000,000,000 bytes or 1,099,511,627,776 bytes? If it is the former, that sure cuts down on the true size.

Any more information about this? I find it hard to believe that a Distributed Computing project can have too MANY computers...
