An owner tried to this to me at a foodservice restaraunt over $5, and I told him what I'm going to tell you: That's illegal, and you can sue for that. Subway lost $250,000 over a similar incident concerning paybacks from cash registers. I'm sure the same law applies here. Stolen items, stolen money, what's the difference? 'Shrinkage', as was already stated, includes employees already. Fry's sounds like they're sitting on a time bomb.
