In my opinion, just because they use devices made by American companies, doesn't mean they are using them in America, since the Article specifically states that Dell has these deals in other countries.

IANAL, but I think that currently, it's only illegal if they try to hide it, such as by not putting it in the EULA. Of course, since almost noone really reads the EULA, they can get away with a lot.

It's like SpyAxe. They claim that Spyware makers are advertising their products in spyware without their consent.

Suuuuuuuuure they are. Give me one good reason they would do that.

How is that flamebait? I have to disagree, however, in that these highly talented individuals are helped by equally or slightly less talented individuals. Edison didn't invent the lightbulb all by himself, nor do most innovators work alone.

No, I enjoy squashing them. As if a genius can have a "peer". True genius has no equal, and quite simply cannot have peers. In other words, true geniuses don't need to be around other people to convince themselves that they are "smart": they KNOW that they are smart. Maybe for you, but I suspect this indicates that these people are, in fact, idiots. I am definitely surrounded by a whole lot of idiots, however, my small group of friends is definitely far above average intelligence.

As I see it, you're both right. Yes, if Azureus blew through three hard drives, your hard drives are a problem. However, Azureus doesn't have a great disk management system. Combine that with Norton Protected recycle bin, and have fun watching your disk fill up. That said, I still use Azureus, although it does leave a lot to desire.

  17. My property values! on Alternative Energy Confusion · · Score: 1

Apologies if this has already been said (my computer isn't working quite right and it's a bit hard to read all the comments), but according to the article:

"Landowners who install wind farms will earn about $3000 per year per turbine, and the municipality will typically receive a percentage of the wind farm's profits based on wattage output."

Thus, that should make up for your loss in property value. Heck, it might even increase it, seeing as the property generates income.
