Someone said that SONY has had many pitfalls recently that have setback their PS3 launch. The rootkit-fiasco, the blu-ray bullshit, and lets not forget the price of the next-gen console. I hope that my PS3 doesnt come with a SONY battery, otherwise i'll be paying $700 for a time-bomb that sits underneath my TV.... too soon, Dell lovers?
As a current and proud owner of an XBOX360, I can honostly say that it was a well spent investment. As a poor college kid, i spent most of my summer work funds on the console. BUT, what I didnt anticipate was buying a console that not only plays some of the most beautiful and entertaining games, but also one that connects easily with my ipod, turning it into an instant sound system to play through my high quality TV speakers (cost of stereo: $200), the ability to integrate my media center equipped laptop to the media center on the console to play all my bootlegged movies without having to burn them on to a DVD or mod my set (bootlegged dvds: $500), not to mention all the ass that I pull when I tell the girls I meet downtown that I'm the proud owner of a 360 (crazy boyband ass: priceless).
So all the nintendo fan-boys out there who scream that there is no innovation in the 360, you must look past the fact that a traditional controller isnt innovative, but look at the internal system software that allows you to do some pretty nifty integration that not only saves you money, but also brings in lots of skirt.
