Looks liked John leaped before he looked. The Undernet's Central US routing server handles on average 1/3 of the Undernet population and is running Linux with kernel 2.2.11. And there are other server in the Undernet running on Linux, plus the preferred development platform now seems to be Linux. This is a long way from Never running Linux on the Undernet.
