Demise of C++?

C++ remains as the only proper object-oriented language. Despite all the years of continuous development in languages, there has yet arisen an overall better object-oriented language. Yes it's ugly. Yes it's cryptic. Yes, it explodes often. But there isn't another language that does things better. Take a look at its competitors: Java - Oh wow, a language that inherited the syntax from C++. Also completely controlled by a useless business committee. Tack on the JVM and you have yourself a C++ killer! Oh wait... C# - Like Java, but worse. Switch the Java committee for a Microsoft one. Switch JVM for.NET. Stupidity for everyone! Objective-C - Is it used ever outside of Apple development? Smalltalk - Nice and pretty. And unheard of outside of the niche. Python, Ruby, etc. - Often considered too slow.
If anything, Java/C# are dying. The reason: Python, Ruby, and other interpreted languages. C/C++ blazes Java in speed, and the interpreted are much faster (and easier on the eys) in design. In fact, if everybody switches to Python (can't say about Ruby), C++ will continue to thrive due to Python's adherence to C/C++ module. Implement in Python; tweak in C/C++. Where would Java be?
Ogg framework? This is far more significant than XviD.
Linux? The one program that started the FLOSS revolution didn't even make it on the list. (No, GNU didn't start it.)
GCC? Hell, any part of GNU?
BSD? Specifically, OpenSSH? Or the contributions to TCP/IP stack...
XWS?
The P programming languages?
I already cried when RMS's bullshit hit home. I'd rather be pragmatic than political. Plus, who said I'm a Linus follower? It's pretty much RMS alone atop his political crap versus the rest of the world. People like Theo, Guido, and Larry also exist.
Any respectable/. user would use software because it's better, not because it's FLOSS. Those two happen to coincide on many things (Firefox, Linux, BSD, TeX, Ogg), but it also fails in many departments (OOo, XWS). Just because you tack on a political agenda doesn't make people support you. In fact, it tends to do the exact opposite.
Round to zero goes towards zero: 2.5 to 2; -2.5 to 22
Floor goes towards -infinity: 2.5 to 2; -2.5 to 23
Round to infinity goes towards +/- infinity: 2.5 to 3; -2.5 to -3
Ceiling goes towards +infinity: 2.5 to 3; -2.5 to -2
The movie was never officially announced. Billy West had an interview stating that he has been working on a Futurama movie, but this has never been confirmed (nor denied) by any other staff member. These publicized talks could very well be announcing that move.
I know for a fact that Billy West and John DiMaggio are ecstatic about working with more Futurama. I'm pretty sure Katey Segal is quite interested as well, though I'm not certain about that. The cast loved what they did, and there should be no problems getting them back on.
I don't what the hell you're talking about; (production) season four had some of the best half-hours ever shown on television. "Jurassic Bark", "Where No Fan Has Gone Before", "The Farnsworth Parabox", and "The Devil's Hands are Idle Playthings" and all exceptional episodes. In addition, both "The Why of Fry" and "The Sting" are among my favorite episodes in any TV show ever along with "Roswell That Ends Well"; Firefly's "Out of Gas" and "Ariel"; and Buffy's "Becoming, Part II", "Earshot", and "Hush". Past its peak? Not even close.

It has a vampire AND an explosion!
Ed Wood made movies so bad they're hilarious. Uwe Boll make them just bad. There's a difference.
Considering House of the Dead was worse than the three you named...

Only FLOSS? Okay, mini-RMS...
