With regards to (A), I agree. With regards to (B), that's something to be determined. I recall viewing a program not too long ago where the religious zealot masters were themselves being hounded by the media for their multi-million dollar estates and extravagant expenses; (C) The Judiciary doesn't have the same vote pressure, but hopefully you have the correct panel of judges (that were, if I'm not mistaken, voted in by politicians over years during their term); and for (D) why not improve the process, forget about passing the bill, not reaping the rewards, and not wasting the judges' time on petty cruft?

Just a side note... Sometimes the companies need to look internally in order to put things into perspective. For example, how often does one go to the 'printer' to only find abandoned print-outs that someone, who really cared to have that information printed needed? I've seen reams of paper wasted on not only forgotten revisions of documents, but also those who print out travel directions, local restaurant coupons, etc. If you're going to save energy, keep others from wasting it. :)

I tend to think that Apple would come out on top if it knew how to combine technology with students and classrooms and teachers. Just as Sony has their new e-book reader, perhaps a wireless device used by teacher and students alike, just as useful, would allow for that student to 'shoot' that note over to the person at the other seat who they find attractive.

No more having to get your friends to deliver notes by hand, no more being turned down in public.

It sounds to me like it's nothing more than a popularity contest. Of course, when a "strong-arm" already in light of the contemporary public sees an opportunity that is making great strides (perhaps by analyzing its own data) it decides to compete in that arena. Of course, a company which creates search engines may decide to create other things as well. I'm sure that a company which was quite adept at creating "buggy-whips", for every person who owned horses, was probably not tarred and feathered for ditching them to create automobiles. But then again, I wasn't around during the "buggy-whipping" days.

While it's nice that they have a robot that will eventually right itself on a sphere, it would be even better if they can have one that will do the same on a single wheel (like a unicycle). I'm sure in the spherical case, it is considering the gravity on all sides for which it can mostly compensate with several servos and rollers.

In that for the wheel, it would need to know that it would have to shift its own weight to make a turn (as well as shift its weight again to go straight) as opposed to just moving a few different rollers.
