let's think about this. If they had not enabled this feature automatically, would we have noticed it? They enabled it to get the user's attention. But they also gave the user the option to disable it pretty easily, unlike a lot of spyware and malware which sends you on a treasure hunt to disable it. Personally, I think it is a cute feature and I am not offended by it. Especially since I can turn it off anytime I want.
My point is, get a grip people.
