Good artical, however I think the point is realtivly mute. It is true that currently OSX by default is less stupid then windows. However, I think it is truely the end user that decides how vulnerable a system is by what they do with that, OS independent, I could have a XP, OSX, and lets say Mandrake box, and they could all be equaly vulnerable depending on what I have done with them. With a straight base install, I would say windows would be at the bottom of the list, however, after you install a few firewalls on that box, put it behind a router(includes it's version of cheap firewall) it becaomes safer.
So, I don't think out of box security has much importance as whether or not the person using it does. If you browse less then reputable sites you will get attacked, and no mater how good your secruity is some will slip through. So the key is, don't connect your box to the NET:)

Now while I am no fan of joining the military, nor am I a fan for normal human traits(stupdity, selfisnous, greed). However, your comment is rather... out there. Yes, a soilder gets paid to go "kill" and see places, but your missing the downfalls to that. I'm not saying whatever your job is, is difficult. I'm saying your not even trying to understand what they go through, now either be it because of a personal exeperenice in some way with armed forces, or just plain a bad outlook on life. A soilder as it were has the 'choice' to sign up for military service which they did. I say 'choice' with caution because for some of these people, there choice is rather small in options, now I have a pretty decent life so I chose not to join up, however when your choice is join the military or stay in your gang ridden neiborhood with no jobs and no money to better yourself or even live (yes this is one of the bad cases) there is a lack of choices for instance's like these.
And more to the point, NO I don't believe they should get any special treatment, however that includes BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE treatment.
Also please, if your going to post a rant of your personal belief's, do it as your self instead of being scared of what others would think and posting anonymously

Unfortunately there is little that can be done in life without someone 'greifing'. I am using that term for lack of an appropriate on. However we all learn to deal with it. While it will be interesting to see what Sony does with the Unreal engine, however the announcement of the release of a new updated "SWG Complete" is kind off expected. Now, they are trying to make more money and hook more subscribers, let's face it they have surprisingly picked up some people and have now a somewhat stable player base, granted at a lower level then before the NGE came out. In their decision to essentially make a new SWG they lost most of their hardcore crowd which is really where there money was. When some people have 3 or more accounts that quickly adds up, and I personally knew quite a few people like this just on one server, hell I even had 2.
However, we deal with greifer's as part of our everyday lives, most of us work with a few. All we can really do when we find a true greifer at heart is, smile knowing that there is a reason they are like that. Usually because they 'hate' themselves, so they either share their pain or find joy in others miseries... also for the ones that only do it, let's face it how far do they get in life.
