In Denmark students have been designing, building and administered networks in dormatories and regional networks with up to about 30 dorms connected with universities and the national research network. This has been going on for 6 years now.

In the capital region og Copenhagen the students are the driving force in planning the political and practical establishment of a major network that will eventually and in just a few years give broad band access to about 80.000 students. The work is being closely coordinated with regional dorm-networks in Sweden - the aim is to create a regional network spanning the 11 universities and about 120.000 students in the region.
Ministers, deans and many influencial organisations are all coorperating - and everything is driven by the students...
