I understand that bugs have gotten harder to prevent as our games have gotten more complex, but the fact that some consumers have accepted bugs in 'final' products is utter nonsense.
While some may argue that allowing the console to support patches and upgrades for games is a good thing, Im going to strongly disagree. What were going to see is rushed projects and 'coming soon' features that are only made available through a service that costs money. Users who just want to play a game periodically are going to get hosed on the deal. I dont have broadband or a live account, nor do I want the latter. Yet, if I want to keep my games in working order, it seems im going to have to open that pocketbook for MS. Hooray!
As a former BBY employee here in the US, I can say that we were also not on commission. However, the only 'compensation' we got for selling more was keeping our jobs. If you didnt sell the arbitrary number of product type x, you were moved to a slower department in the store or some equally shit position until management could find a reason to fire you -- ie: coming in late on days where the schedule was changed without your knowledge.
