Who needs to reinvent the wheel?
Ok maybe from DOS to Ms-Windows, ok window 98 to windows xp, but why more, and why is the os still bonded to the GUI ? Nobody is learning anything from open source ? Haaa microsoft...
I think trend changes and now computer os and software are stable and give us all we need. Why upgrade when the work is done nicely? Why try change if it's not broken? And why would we want to have tons of eye candies and whistles when we are confortable with our tools. People start to know that new product from Microsoft mean new bug, bigger os, long time to implement, problem with old application etc...
I think it's time Microsoft learns from Open Source, I remember few years ago how many time the question was asked: Can Open Source survive in a world of commercial software, but I can see now the new question arise, Can Commercial software Survive in a world of open source ?
My answer is no, open source will be tomorrow main stream and the money will be made in the hardware and on the service a compagny has to offer to its clientele.
Or if this is true then dowloading a 240gig file will be as fast as downloading a a4 page high def graphic ? I mean if you can store that ammount on a a4 page, then you can scan it, and send it to someone by e-mail and then the person can print it out and get the data. But again, why scan and print, can the computer direcly compute the data from a digital file ?
Why is this article about using paper instead of CD?? Shouldn't it be about a new way of storing data in a visual format, who cares what you do with it after ?? Printing and scanning the image containing 240gig of data seems to be so away from the fact that if we can store 240 on a graphic the size of a a4 page, then digital transfer is drastically modifyed... Is't this like the best encryption and compressing technology ever ????
well I might be just wrong also or I just don't get it
I think anyone who talks about reality, like "who's in reality and out of reality" really should do a reality check. I hope it's understood that everyone create their own reality? Of course that sounds a bit 'spiritual' but who is to judge who is in and who is out ? And most of all, what a waste of time...
was really sceptical of the idea of being a were-rabbit as an action game but I am hooked already :)
