Training has always been one of those things that some companies do poorly and others do well - and i would suggest if you havent manage to peruade them by now, that, barring a change of management, you wont see it anytime soon.
One thing that bugs me though is those that use "I havent been trained as that" as a reply to get out of doing work. If your working in IT and dont have enough interest to jump at the chance to learn a new product/skill etc, get out now and go work at maccas.
