    well after a shotting in another state, NYS decided to change its laws and implement the safe act. now, i know a number of people who have flat out refused to abide by it, but the government really does not like the fact that we have guns.

    instead of complaining that there are americans fighting hard for the 2nd amendment, maybe we could learn from them and start applying that same want to maintain the rest of the constitution?

    the issue would not exist if we didnt have crazy laws to begin with. Flat tax (or something similar) no deductions, simple use taxes. any number of things can be done to stop this.

    There's no point. 99% of them will never use that knowledge. When it's broke, they either get someone else to fix it or buy a new one.

    and thats the difference between now, and 100 years ago. Why should i get a new fridge or pay someone to replace a simple broken blower or fan? its not hard and its a part of life. Knowing these things is good unless you like to waste money

    . Implying that they didn't object to paying taxes as much as they objected paying taxes to the wrong people for the wrong reasons and without any say-so in the matter.

    I know its not relevant to what the guy you are replying to said, but this line is a perfect fit for the issue at hand. The issue is that the feds want to tax something that they have no legitimate reason to tax, meaning money that was made outside of the country.

    if the profits were made in tax free countries, so be it.

    look at it like this, before globalization, these companies would generally only be making money in this country, why should they pay taxes to this country for things they do not in this country?

    i had the same heat issues, but i decided a couple years back to watercool and i have not looked back. if im gonna spend as much on my GP U as i do my laptop, I dont mind spending a few extra bucks for proper cooling.

    dont really disagree. I am in IT myself, couldnt be bothered to learn programming. I made a calculator about 15 years ago and got bored after putting in number 7, so my calc only had digits 0-7, and would error if an 8 or 9 was thrown.

    I dont think programing will be dead anytime soon, theres still a steep bar of entry if you are going to be good. graphic design and web design is dead because the market is saturated.

    an intro class to programming is a good thing. they still teach home economics in 7th grade in NY, i dont think a little programming into would hurt

    Plus it would help with the so called lack of females in programming if we introduce them to it at a younger age right?
