In Atlana, prices can run between $160k to $200k for a four bedroom. Not too bad, but the area is suffering from major traffic problems due to poor planning.
Indeed there needs to be more information about making people aware of how they can protect themselves. Are there watchdog websites out there anyone?
A friend of mine does not like using credit cards to pay for anything only cash or money orders. One day she gets harassed by her isp ("distrupting" service, adding additional fees in the name of better service, etc.) because she pays them using money orders. They inform her that they are "cracking down" on people who don't pay with check or credit card. Aparently, they are peeved because they are losing out on cash they can pimp out on her personal info they would otherwise gain from her credit card or checking account.
That's a bunch of bs! KDE is adaquate for mom to use whenever she visits. All I had to tell her was her username, password, how to start ppp (kppp), and log off. I only had to show once and she was on her own. She even waited for "System halted" to show up before turning off the computer.
The thing I find most difficult for windows users (moving to linux) to understand is the multiuser concept. When I tell mom and dad to log off and let someone else use it, they ask me "why?" This is something new to them.
Indeed. This may sound paranoid, but if M$ wants to capture the open source market, this is a good starting point. They could approach linux the same way they are attacking java, by splintering ports and applications. All the while claiming it is what is best for users and far superior to what is out there.
Microsoft owns the code to Windows
SCO owns the code to Linux
Then, by correlation, Microsoft own Linux.
openbsd.
I had mono once. No fun.
...If you have code that meets the standards for this distribution, do you get to have a "UL Listed" label on your software?
Is there a way of changing the algorithm itself? Like say, IDEA or Blowfish?
