Most humans are indeed like sheep.They like to be driven. And our education systems are more and more designed to that end.
Inovation and change has never come from the masses, but from a few driven individuals. Tecnologies do not change personalities, just means. As for the creation of jobs, well, the printing press eliminated all those iluminists(sorry about the bad alliteration)but created a plethora of other opportunities. Maybe the invention of the Gutenberg press can be the only comparable historical fact that we may use to try to predict the future. many have tried, few have succeeded.
