If GWT's class library doesn't meet your needs, you can mix handwritten JavaScript in your Java source code using our JavaScript Native Interface (JSNI).

You guys have done a great job. I was just waiting for something like this to come out from Google. I can't wait till I start on moving my couple of web apps to use this framework for a richer user experience.
Yes I have seen ebay users doing that all the time to my auctions. That is a proof that users really do not understand the "Buy It Now" feature and in turn doesn't really infringe on the patent.
