Only the terrorists would want their privacy. The terrorists(usually gov sponsored) envy us because of our privacy and liberty so we must give up both our privacy and liberty for gov/corporate security.
The solution is to outlaw all blogs and put sites like slashdot out of business. We must act as one in the name of big brother to eliminate all forms of freedom. The blog terrorists envy us because of our liberty so we must give up our liberty for corporate security.
The rummor mill talked about Dell selling AMD chips a few years ago. Nothing became of that and nothing will become of this either. Alienware is not Dell. Even though Dell bought Alienware the two will be separate. I doubt you'll ever find a PowerEdge server with an AMD chip inside it.
The restriction already exists. If you read the back of your card it says:
Improper used of this card and/or number by the number holder or any other person is punishable by fine, imprisonment or both.
The only proper use is for access to the social security funds. Which does not include identification for getting a minimart discount card. People at the minimart have no need and no right to the ssn. Unless of course you're employed there.
A unix sysadmin is a dictator. Bush said multiple times he wants to be a dictator... It looks like some of the people who believe in newspeak might actually help him get what he wants. Guess he made a good choice in creating a modern reichstag.
It has nothing to do with catching the CIA funded terrorists. These Nazis that funded Hitler do not want to catch the mythical terrorist because you need to be terrorized to give up your freedom. As Hitler did in his day, they created their own Reichstag to expand their powers. This newspeak is all about conditioning us to accept a police state. You will thank them when they put you in the death camps and sterilize your children in the name of population control.
The common criminal that stabs a dude for a laptop wouldnt know how to pick a lock. If anything he would try to cut the laptop free with his knife. Or if he was somewhat prepared he would have a pair of dikes.
Wifi was mentioned because the article was trying to use these crimes to demonize wifi. It's part of the conditioning process.
My question is why didnt he have his laptop locked up? Whenever you use your laptop outside of your home it should always be secured. Even at work we have to lockup our laptops because someone might walk off with it. Obviously he would need a combo lock so they couldnt just take the key.
If a big company puts out something with encryption then there is no doubt that it has a backdoor. It wouldnt be the first time this happened. What would be nice is if it was open source so you could rewrite it or update it. But even then I bet they would add some hidden non-erasable backdoor.
The real problem with botnets is that they tend to draw attention to the exploit resulting in a patch. If it wasnt for botnets we could use the exploits for a longer period of time.

Dont forget about the organ harvesting done in China and North Korea for minor offenses. If you see the execution van pull up. You better run fast. http://www.indymedia.ie/article/74819 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4921116.st m
Yeah. It is kinda like the Transfer Agreement. Both Google and Yahoo are extensions of the global government. Even if they dont admit it or know it.

AMD has 0% of the Dell market.

It's just more corporate spam. Just another autodelete rule.

Under the patriot act everyone is a terrorist.
The only distro worth using is Slackware. All pay homage to the Slackware gods.
