A delivery mechanism is not difficult, gullability is all you need. Just look at all those email viri that want us to click on links. How many people do that?
Small boxes and mobility. I have dumped box PCs for Laptops now. 2.5" drives and more. I am sick of a box that sounds louder than my air conditioning and a power consumption equilivent to my tumble dryer or fridge freezer when my laptop now is powerful to run the latest games and only consumes 40 watts of power.
That would be after they save us from an alien invasion by uploading a virus to the mothership that destroys the Whitehouse and has the President shooting them down with an F-16.
You mean like AutoRoute, Axapta (Dynamics), CRM, GreatPlains, SendIt (Windows Mobile Server and ISCA 2000 Server)?
They where all aquisitions not licensing.
TLDs have no meaning anymore , "brand protection" has diluted the purpose of having TLDs in the first place, everybody just squats their brand on every TLD they can find. ORG is no longer an ORGINSATION, COM is no longer a COMPANY, NET is no longer a NETWORK ENTITY, UK is no longer a UK only TLD etc etc...
In short, this is just another money making SCAM.
It goes to some suit in the registrars. Just like every other business, the Fat Cats always win.
This is just another money making SCAM on the part of registrars. Need more money, create a new TLD. Most companies have policies to register as many as they can to protect their BRAND. Lather Wrinse Repeat
Its a SCAM.
Hello,
I currently purchase D-Link products for my networking needs but recently I have seen this posted on the internet.
http://people.freebsd.org/~phk/dlink/
I have the D-Link products mentioned in this and am now concerned that my products will become "defective" once they are blocked from this NTP server. If such "defects" occur because of bad design, where can I get a refund. I believe that under EU Consumer law that a product must be fit for the purpose it is purchased for. Please clarify the status of the "functionality" of my products and whether I should purchase a different brand that will not become defective when such services are blocked.
Regards.
What good is a system if it cannot talk to other systems (programs services etc).
Just infect yourself (suicide attack) and wander around in public spreading it, how is that difficult?
Its an Open Source speech so its only costs 1 Beer.

What about grandma who just bought a computer at PC World?
YOU just outfitted THEM. Can't they do it themselves if it is that easy? :)
Please, dont give the speech to me, give it to my grandad who has just bought a computer.
Especially Linux, which doesnt quite know what it is.

Their backup plan is to nuke Microsoft from orbit, its the only way to be sure.
So what will be the point of buying Apple hardware then if this happens. Gee thats nice its a pretty overpriced box.

"It rocks"? So, it runs like a brick?
but what makes it cool is it was made in a place with "Research" in its title! Headline news.
Don't google have terms and conditions for serving adverts? I guess they would make money from them also so conflict of interest perhaps?
DI-604 has this default and its user configurable.. time.nist.gov

One could always cause more havoc by changing the time randomly for them :) Wont this screw up TLS / SSL connections and other sessions based on time?
Block it and watch as the chaos follows with consumers returning "defective" products :)
