"the new horizons mission to Pluto - a waste of time"
Why do think New Horizons is a waste of time? Sure, we're not expecting to find life there, but the Kuiper belt is one of the most mysterious regions in our solar system. Just think of all the bodies we're beginning to find there that are bigger than Pluto! And we know next to nothing about any of them! There are so many unanswered questions about the Kuiper belt and Pluto that I think that it's anything but a waste of time to go there.
