  1. It's simple on Is It Illegal To Disclose a Web Vulnerability? · · Score: 2, Interesting

If you don't own the website or you don't have the owners permission then it is illegal for you to attempt to access the web server except if you are "using it properly" (eg. you actually surf the web site via the links). So if you have found the exploit without permission then you have already committed a crime. Then telling people about it is 1. stupid, 2. gives people evidence to have you charged. As to whether it is illegal to disclose the vulnerability is anybodies guess. I would think that it wouldn't be illegal but i still would not do it.

  2. Wasnt this posted already on Real Time (as in Live) Programming Competition · · Score: 1

if i recall this is simply a repost? i could be wrong since i know people who where in this competition, but im sure this is very old and repeated news

  3. Roots on Do Kids Still Program? · · Score: 1

I stated programming in Year 8 (I think) because i was bored at high school. I started with HTM then js then qbasic, and worked my way up to where i am now and I had no help only books. My computer teacher (in year 10) told me that i should quit school and become a programmer, i was basically teaching the programming part of the class myself. Now languages such as C, C++, Java, j2me, php, SQL, VB, xml, js..... all under my belt. I am now 20 and a Uni doing computer science.

I think that main problem these days is that most kids feel they need to be able to program things that will have imediate results, Like a complete front end. where as in reality they should be concentrating on the fundimentals, or even hello word.

  4. Read the source artical on Australian Labor Party Proposes ISP Level Filter · · Score: 1

People here need to read the actual artical. the proposed filters arn't for all porn and all violence its for material that is over the R18+ rating. Thus material that is technically illegal in Australia anyway. The main problem currently isn't that parents don't know how to install filters but that the children know how to disable them. Don't get me wrong i love porn as much as the next guy.
