    I bet you in 10,000 years if the human race is still around, gold will still be tradeable for anything used as a form of currency anywhere on the planet.

    And I bet you're wrong. Tell me, what actual worth does gold have? Outside of it's use as a conductor, not a whole hell of a lot. And if we get to a Mad Max or apocalyptic scenario, what use will gold actually have? Why would you take gold in exchange for food, or bullets?

    Ahhh, so I can't actually use bitcoins for anything. I still have to use US Dollars (or Euros, or whatever they use where ever you are).

    Who needs to fake the cryptographic signature when in reality it means fuck all regarding the person that generated it?

    Athletic departments usually sustain themselves. And in the vast majority of schools, there's a pretty big wall between funding for the school, and funding for the athletic programs.

    Agreed. Part of the reason for the doctor shortage in the US is because people who have the talent and ability to become great doctors aren't going into medicine, they're going into finance. Same with engineering.

    What needs to happen is that the "market" needs to correct itself, and realize that these finance jackasses aren't worth anywhere near what they're paid.

    It depends on what the gains you get from switching are. Moving from MS Office to Google Docs means you have fewer features, but there are other things you gain. If you don't actually use a lot of those features that you lose, is it really something that's worse?

    From what I've heard, Win8 isn't really targeted at businesses. It's more targeted at consumers and tablets. Businesses would still be on Win7.

    I honestly wonder how many of these incidents blamed on outside vendors are actually the result of something the outside vendor did, and not the result of some manager yelling and screaming loud enough to make the vendor do something to shut him up and not lose business.

    The end user was already paying for it with the unlimited data plans. AT&T decided to be a greedy little bitch and end that. Now they want both the end user and the app developer to pay them money.

    That should be flat out illegal, and punishable by HUGE fucking fines, both on the part of the agent and the company.

    As we have seen posted here earlier both Firefox and GPL usage have been going down month after month after month, why? because the people have decided that the "freedom" that GPL V3 tries to force is not something they want, that's why.

    Wow. I'd like to see you even try to back that up with facts. And remember, the plural of anecdote is not data, and correlation does NOT imply causation.
