Hey, so we should just ignore the views of the masses? I, being one a minority in more than one way, would like to see that the majority view is ignored, but usually, it is better actually know and acknowledge what the great mass of unwashed plebs are thinking ;-) Anyway, I am all for getting more representation because of the number of University degrees I hold and genius level IQ ;-)

Did this very thing on the microVAX we had back in 1988. No other other tools existed. So, perform complete backup. Format disk, and restore. But only needed to do this very occasionally.

Not sure why this post got modded interesting... Are the faculties PhD in computing? No? History? Then why would we expect them to be any more clued up on OS and Computing Language? This is no different to the people at large. For vast, vast majority of the population, the computer is just a tool that they use for accessing the Internet, e-mail, and maybe writing some work document. Heck, I've very limited idea of setting up Blogging software, or internals of Windows or linux (I use both), but you want a CPU/GPU designed... I'm your guy!

  4. Re:External Graphics Cards? on New Mobile GeForce Go Graphics · · Score: 1

Putting an external graphics card (specially a top end one) is not going to be particularly useful with current PC bus architecture unless PCIe is exposed. 3D Graphics performance is very largely determined by bandwidth and not shader performance. Many cards support bandwidth exceeding 16GB. Many at the top end is twice that. USB 2 does not deliver what a low end card demands.
