hey guys, im a Muslim, and an Arab (Palestianian). I think you guys make strong points. I personally dont think there is anything to keep the bad guys from using any means necessary to get messages & info accross "enemy" lines. I think in thier head, they are at war, so they (whoever they are) would use anything they could. This goes for Muslim , Christian, or Jew. At the same time, I usually take anything in print (electronic or otherwise) with a few truck loads of salt. -marwan

Im not really familar with the support of that video card under linux. I'd check it to be sure under Xfree86 as well XIG. If you are going to be looking at sat images and want a card like that you probably want good hw accelerated for a final result. I dont know of any really good OpenGL (assuming thats what you might use) accelerted cards that fully support Opengl. Again, I dont know too much about THAT card..but I'd make sure the video card you choose can meet your reqs... fast 2d... good 3d...whatever.

Hi all, If you want to run a Rev 4 under XFree86 I think you can use the T2R (Ticket to Ride) drivers. I dont think you can run games with it though. I havent done this but while I was working for NINE I heard this was possible. Since the Rev 4 is based on the T2R chip there isnt a problem. However, there is no accelerated 3d. I have used there beta product and even got it running under Linux and have run Q3 for the Rev 4. Hey, its not 3dfx but that is more a function of the hardware than the software. I think Xi has a pretty good product personally. -Thanks and happy new year, -Graphicsboy (xNiner)
