Best tool for the job in the long term is the one you understand, trust and maintainer yourself if need be.
In the short term there may be closed source tools that are better, but be aware you are you are giving some control of you operations to a third party, both financial and security. Your are choosing to give up your independence. Dark side, leads to, it does.

What about the media, or lobbyists, or famous people, they shouldnt influence votes either i guess... everyone should vote based on truth rather perception. But democracy has never been like that, its never been a magic solution to select leaders, its just better than the alternatives.
Politics is all about influencing people, hackers have just as much right as anyone else to try and influence others.

Hamming codes provide error correction, but its not really sending out the same data twice. It can correct small isolated errors. It does require a buffer, but not a large one.
I dont agree with some of the results of their work. But "quietly" doing something isnt an option for their style of organisation, which is basically an angry mob.
They need to get the word out and fire people up to have an effect.
There is talk by "experts" that hating Donald Drumpf only makes him more popular, but thats a pretty lame excuse, it wont scale. All the angry outsiders who are going to support him probably already do.

Free and open source software can be _used_ for any purpose, good or evil.
Sure we can acknowledge the good that is done, but lets not forget the evil its used for.
If there was an ethical licence, it would not be considered free or open, unfortunately.

You may not like the methods Anonymous use to send their message, but they are sending a message.
