I read on my Note 8. Big screen, plenty good for reading, and ALWAYS with me. Not so with a Kindle Fire, or laptop. Can read and listen to music any time I like. I bet that's the main consumption point for Kindle books, too - phones.
Well then, there's now an opening for you. You can make a paperwhite reader, load it with the FireOS (it's free) and then the Kindle app - and you can sell them to people who want an eInk based reader for their Kindle subscription!
Making new Kindle Fires. Those are still selling, and being updated. Pure Kindle readers - eInk, monochrome - are dying. Why pay $79 for an eInk reader, when you can get a full-blown tablet for the same price?
What country are you from? If you're in the EU, Asia or South America, there's a good chance I rode - and lane split, like all the other riders - in your country. And yes, it is legal AND is more environmentally friendly.

:) I like the reliability I get. I ride - a lot. My current main ride is a Honda CTX700 (mid-sized cruiser) with 49,000 miles on it in 3.5 years. And I'm overseas for about 4 months a year. So I typically put about 2200-2500 miles a month on the bike. It's been rock solid. Four rear tires, two front tires, 6 oil changes, one air filter, two sets of front brake pads, one set of rear brake pads, and one chain - that's it.
It's the same oil that's used in the transmission - so it gets a bit dirty from the clutch. Still, it's equivalent to most brand-new cars, but uses a lot less oil (about 3.8L) and gets great mileage. And because I'm not sitting in traffic all the time, I'm even more energy efficient.
And new prices? Or a used Nissan Leaf? Really, having to resort to "used Leaf vs. Used Tesla" to try to justify a closer price just goes to prove the statement - there is no affordable Tesla model today.

I would expect that someone with a little bit of technical capability would be able to work in more than one system of units... Apparently not.
It's typically for maneuvering in close to port, where some cities have pretty restrictive emissions requirements.
