The software to run an ATM exists and has been tested, tested, tested. An ATM can deposit, withdraw, transfer, and do it all with an acceptable level of reliability. It's been almost 6 years since the chads in Florida, so the voting machines should be rock-solid by now. No?
Why not? Because ATMs handle money, and they *have to* work. Everyone uses ATMs. Voting machines don't have to work. Not everyone votes.
