Hey, isn't JDK7 just Java 1.7, the same way JDK6 is the same as Java 1.6? I don't think they are jumping the development versions that much, Java 1.5 gave huge performance differences over 1.4 and quite a few language changes, I think the language as a whole seems to be evolving quite quickly and without losing any stability.
