I've been a whore/consultant for many years under many placement agencies. What I've learned is that frequently you're going to get screwed whether you like it or not. Accept the facts, and bend over. Who cares what mgmt or any employee feels? It's all about earning $$$ for the shareholders/wealthy.
So post your resumé with wild abandon. It's helped me get gigs through consulting/staffing firms. Then put in your time for a paycheck. Rinse and repeat.
