I'm a female gamer as well, and I agree that FPS is boring because it's the same old same old, not because it's "for boys." The only time I ever enjoy FPS is when I'm in a room of computers and I can bicker with and hassle the people I'm picking off.
I never got into the Sims, possibly because I know I'd never get out.
