It would be nice if what you said wasn't so true.. It seems like a lot of the annoying problems, like this one, could be at least minimized if people actually learned how to use the technology. People don't seem to understand how powerful computers & the internet can be, and how much they can get from them if they would just RTFM (Read The F**king Manual for those who haven't done tech support for a software company like me... ). "Yes, idiot user, BCC is your friend, and no everyone doesn't care about the puppy you have to give away."
I'm sorry, I think my bitterness is showing through...
The only thing I would add is how the sales staff has already sold the product and promised a ship date a month before the testers will even see the product, and, of course, they're adding features while the original product is still in test.. and can't understand why those features can't just be added since they've already pushed back their customer delivery dates for two weeks. Like they're the developer's new best friend!
The scary part is some manager still wonder why they have such a high turn around in the test, developer, and tech support departments...
