I know that the readership of slashdot are obviously more computer literate than most however, I feel that we should acknowledge that there just might be another group that would be people who don't know that software exists. In fact there is a large group (probably larger than "groups 1 & 2" combined) that have never even touched a computer. Just because we are all well aware with the problems that there are with software we can't be oblivious to these disparities just because we're fortunate enough to be able to rant about software bugs from the comfort of our own personal terminals.
