Yeah, talk about a moron. Seems people like him should realise that everyone uses their computer exactly the same. I mean honestly, what in the world is this imbecile thinking. Actually trying to think outside the box, dear God.
Thankfully in the near future programs will be 0% configurable and this will reduce the need to run a window at your desired size, everything will be fullscreen and have it's on virtual desktop. Because who knows what's better for you, you or someone else?
Easter Eggs: Generally easter eggs aren't required to complete any part of the game, they're almost always there as a surprise for the gamer. They're also a way for developers to put their personalized taste/opinions on a piece of art they helped to create(seeing as how most developers work on a project that isn't their idea, etc.)
The Grind: MMO's have become increasingly notorious for the grinds they require users to complete to level(with the Korean MMO's of late being the most offensive.) In my opinion these grinds are often times in place for lack of content or things to do at the top levels of gameplay. Plus it's often times an easier way to garuntee longer subscriptions as most players tend to either quit within the trial period, or at the end where boredom generally sets in.
Unlockables, or Just Plain Hard: This is somewhat a laughable subject, because personally I find it funny when people complain that a game is just too darn hard. Their is no justifiable reason a person that just began playing Chess should beat a person who has played for 35+ years. Just as no one should beat every encounter they come to in a game their first try. Some people naturally will be more adept at slaying the big baddy or solving the puzzle before time runs out. But in the game industries defense I really must say that if all games were oversimplified or just granted you things immediately without needing to earn them, what would be the point?
There are plenty of games out there today that are easy, for almost every genre. Go play them.
Complainers will always complain, because they want everything now and their way. Face the facts, you aren't the best at everything, some things take practice.
On the other hand, I'm sure SOME games do include things which are intended to be difficult and time consuming for the purpose of delaying the gamer and offer absolutely no sense of accomplishment or reward of any kind. To these games and their developers I just ask, PLEASE use some creativity(I can't think of any games that do this off the top of my head.)
