Some industrial and mining companies here have a 4 day (12 hour shift) 4 days off cycle.
The mining company at Roxby Downs is one, many people live in Port Augusta or Port Pirie and commute (desirable as Roxby is isolated and in a desert so housing is much more expensive.)
Pirie people drive (90km) to Port Augusta and take the company bus to Roxby. Seems to work.
