The job was for AIG, an insurance company. I was doing some new dev work, however, there was still a ton of Y2K junk going on that I had to waste my time with. So I had to do some COBOL work during that time (ewww). Anyway, the whole Y2K stuff was _way_ overrated. Could there have been some issues if there were not some programming changes? Yes. However, they were nothing like the press made them out to be.

This is just another "journalist" trying to get some name recognition. OMG..Teh..sky..is..falling!

I want at least 4 characters that I can build up from wimps to uber-fighters/mages/clerics/etc. I want to find and fight for tons of magical items and abilities. The last thing I want in an RPG is a click-feast. There is nothing worse in an RPG (IMO) than having to click like a freak to win a fight. I WANT TO PLAN MY COMBAT.

You can cry all you want about OS X being only on Apple hardware. That is just how it is for now. Apple would not be able to compete against an illegal monopoly like MS right now if Apple released their OS to any old x86 box. Even though the courts told MS they could not require PC makers to only sell MS Windows, MS has found ways around that with "coupons" and "incentives". So for now the situation is still the same. Most of the PC makers sell only MS Windows. A few offer unformatted hard drives, however, you won't get support for any non-MS OS. If you want to be able to change all the hardware, you can get a Mac Pro starting around $2,100. If you compare specs to Dell, the Mac Pro is less money with better hardware.
