Exactly. At face value it seems like a good idea, but in the long term it may not be. However, due to it's limited use and short operating life one can infer it will never be considered a viable long-term solution anyway. It will probably do better providing a cheap solution for reclaiming land previously used for landfills.
Has anyone noticed that many wars in recent years have not and cannot be won? The War on Terror, the War on Drugs, what will be the next never-ending war we fight? Why fight an enemy that cannot be destroyed?
...expect children to learn these skills in a classroom with 30 students headed by an overworked teacher who cannot focus on any student individually.
I bet amazing things would happen if people took time to learn about things before they criticize them.

Honestly, there will never be a truly perfect authentication solution. Fingertips can be taken just as easily as passwords.
